I am doing a research paper on overseers where I learned William CAPERS, one of the MANIGAULT's distant cousins, was also employed as an overseer. MANIGAULT papers suggest Louis MANIGAULT's great-great grandfather and CAPERS great grandfather married WRAGG sisters. I was wondering if you could provide me with the names of these grandfathers. Also, was William CAPERS, Sr., the overseer, related to the Methodist minister, William CAPERS, father of Ellison.
Thanks

Timothy DOOLEY appeared in Savannah City Directory as early as 1858. His three sisters married John QUINN, Patrick FAHEY and Alexander C. REAGAN respectively. Patrick FAHEY and wife Winnifred (DOOLEY) FAHEY left Ireland and spent about ten years in England before arriving in Savannah c.1867. These Irish families lived near each other in Savannah and belonged to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Was Michael A. FAHEY a son of Patrick FAHEY? How was Thomas Joseph DOOLEY (born 1866 in Roscommon) related to Timothy DOOLEY?

There is a Maria A. FAY marriage to Peter BLOIS on 19 August 1819 recorded in the Chatham Co Georgia Marriages before 1850.
My GGG Grandmother, Maria A. FAY, stated she was born in Burke County GA (we think about 1811) and married Ezekial PARRISH about 1832 (according to her pension application statement of the early 1890s). She/they settled in Alachua Co FL. She told of being a school girl of
14 in Augusta GA or vacinity when she saw General Lafayette parade through. She died nearly 100 in 1905 (obituary from newspaper). A son and grandson were named Krama FAY.
Maria A. (FAY) PARRISH was probably too young to have married anyone in 1819 but I have found so few FAY and no other Maria A. FAYS in GA so thought these two might be related somehow.

Searching for an obituary of Zaida BARRY, b. 16 Jan 1920, d. Nov 1983. Last resided in Savannah, Chatham Co, GA, in an effort to determine whether or not she is connected with relatives of Zaida BARRY (and/or Zaida WILLIAMS) of the Philadelphia, PA area. Not confirmed as yet but her mother might possible be Zaida BARRY, b. Sep 5, 1906 in Philadelphia, PA. Grandparents may have been Harry BARRY and Clara Mendelhall BARRY; an Uncle may have been an Edward BARRY. Another possible name with some connection to this family may have been Eleanor (not sure of spelling), but not sure. If Zaida is connected, she may have had family living at 2903 Smedley Street, Philadelphia, PA in 1924, and some are still shown on the 1930 census. Any information would be appreciated.

I am trying to locate information on my great grandfather's family. The only information I have is from the Randolph County 1860 Census which list a Margaret DuBOSE (34), Joseph (16), Luke (11) and Peter (8). Peter was my great grandfather. His mother's name was Margaret Smith DuBOSE, but I can't find any info about his father. His brother, Joseph, was killed in the Civil War. I know that Peter lived in South Alabama and married Polly BELL. Their children were Ada, Robert Wilson, Nolie, and Andrew.
He later married Margaret Mae HILBURN and their children were Eddie, Lessie Mae, Homer, Trudie Lee, and Annie Pearl.
I would appreciate any information about this family. I'm very curious as to who my great great grandfather was.
Thanks,
Elaine
