I was born Dec. 18, 1944 at St. Joseph Hospital, Savannah, Ga. It look like Cehalham County, but must have been Chatham County, My parents were married in looks like East Court, but must be East Point ?, Ga. Murry E. FREEMAN and Mary E. PRICE. My father was 51 and my mother 38 when I was born. I can't even get started till, I find something spelled correctly. Grandparents were James FREEMAN, Amanda JENKINS from AL? That's where Dad was born. Talladiga, I think. Thanks just for letting me write!

I am researching the name Harriet G. BACON. She is my greatgrandmother born on 9-18-1830 in Chatham County, Georgia. She married my greatgrandfather Edward BARNETT in Savannah, Georgia on 2-19-1851 and she died on 12-18-1901 of acute bronchitis in Michigan. She is buried in Farview cemetery. I know her mothers maiden name is GREEN and that she (Harriet) is the ggranddaughter of Nathaniel (the rebel) BACON.

I would like to make this connection but have no other information. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Vallard BARTON was born in SC in 1909. She was the daughter of Anthony BARTON and Julia ASHE. She eventually moved to Savannah, Ga. and married and had a daughter. Then to Jax'ville FL.

Looking for the Barney or Bennett McARDLE who was supposed to have served in the Mexican American War. He is listed as a clerk in Savannah 1850 Census. Any info would be appreciated. He moved to ALabama after 1850 and married.

I'm searching for the family of Louise (RILEY) GREEN. She died during childbirth in 1933. She was married to Ellis GREEN of Cane Break Rd. now known as Ft. Argyle Rd. She had one son, Solomon, whom is deceased now and is my father. Her parents, as listed on the death certificate, were Steve RILEY and Martha CUMMING (maiden name). I understand that Steve's name was actually Stepney. On the death certificate the address is listed as 5 miles Augusta Rd. She was buried in Cherokee cemetary. I'm looking for any RABURNs that may have been from Georgia (Garden City, Macon County or Chatham County) in the early to mid 1800s and left that area to go to Eastern North Carolina. My ancestors (as far back and I can find) are from Hyde County, NC. But my great grandfather, William RABURN came to the area in the 1800s, married my great grandmother, Harriett (from Pitt County, NC) and they settled in the Hyde County area of Eastern NC. Anything would be appreciated.

Had siblings Ed (Nooch), Sarah (married a Lebanese man who Americanized his name to Speedy Stevens), Leon Lane (aka Bub, Jeff) and Frank(?). I remember visiting Savannah as a child and meeting Nooch, Sarah, and Speedy. Uncle Bub lived in Florida and so did my grandfather for most of his life. But where did this family come from?

He married Carrie GLASS on 09 March 1909 in Savannah or Chatham Co., GA. They had at least one son William Glass SAUNDERS (b. 01 Apr. 1916 and died 08 Mar. 1982 in Baltimore, Maryland) Buried Savannah, Ga.

John Harry Kay CLEGG died at Memorial Hospital, Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, USA on 2 Jun 1962. He was a Rear Admiral (retired) in the British Royal Navy. He married Josephine CLAIBORNE in 1932 but she died, I believe, in 1946. I think he may have subsequently Damaris Frederick ?CLAIBORNE. Josephine's father was Henry Faust CLAIBORNE. His address in Savannah was 711 East 44th Street.

I am seeking informaation about the burial and the CLAIBORNE family. Can anyone help?

Help. Great grandmother, Cynthia EDWARDS married and was widowed with Jesse R WATERS. She was left with five children but did not raise all them herself. They were Frank, Osie, Jesse, Jr. Janie and Joseph WATERS. On her death she lived with her daughter Janie who married a Harold LIFEBODY. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated as I am in Virginia.

I am trying to trace the records of Alfred Kent MORDECAI. He was my great grandfather...he was a deputy sherriff of Savannah and he lived to be 103 years of age...birth, death, marrage and property ownership papers...I know that the family had two slaves. I'd like to try to get their names and trace their families as well as find where they are buried..The MORDECAI family burial plot is in Bonaventure Cemetery.

I am disabled and have a hard time gettinging into research facilities so any help you can give would be a blessing to me and my posterity

Thomas BREEZE, b. abt. 1728 and d. Feb 1784 in ,Orange, NC and Martha [BREEZE] are my 5G grandparents. I have a blurry copy of the BRIES / BREESE / BREEZE family which was prepared by James Lawrence BREESE, II of Sante Fe, NM. It was then sent to Howard BREECE, Kansas City, MO in 1968. My cousin then sent it on to me. William Cebra BREESE is supposedly the progeniturer of a BREESE line in NC & SC. I'm trying to find a connection between that line and Thomas BREEZE above.

I am searching for genealogical information regarding a Dr. James W. COTTON who died in Savannah, Georgia on 27 September 1820 at the age of 23 years. He was born in New York. He resided on Jefferson Street in Savannah when he died. He is buried in the Old Colonial Cemetery in Savannah, GA.

Also, I am seeking information regarding the family of William COTTON who was a mariner and a captain. He left a widow and 5 children in New York. He died on 8 September 1815 at the age of 53. His nativity was Amsterdam.. Above information extracted from "Register of Deaths in Savannah, Georgia", Volumes IV, 1989, and Volume III, 1986, compiled by the Genealogical Committee of the Georgia Historical Society, Savannah, Georgia.

Any information regarding the families of these two men would be greatly appreciated.

Michael R. ARCHIBALD married Marth BELL in Chatham County, Savannah, Ga on June 24th, 1861. They had a daughter born in Savannah On November 9th, 1870. The daughter was named Annie B. ARCHIBALD. She was my wife's grandmother.

Michael was a member of the Irish Jasper Greens in Savannah and enlisted in the 1st regiment, Ga. Volunteers in May 30, 1861. He served honorably to April 1865 when he was captured and finally paroled in Greensboro, N.C.

I believe Martha B. his wife possibly died in child birth and is burried in the Savannah area. Her death would possibly be between 1870-1885
I have further info about Michael. Will gladly answer all correspondence.

I am looking for any information for Ignatius GEOGHEGAN. Ignatius died in 1795 in Savannah, GA. Ignatius was supposibly a ships doctor during the Revolutionary War. The only information I have found is on the Georgia tax rolls for 1795, and this is limited to his name and date of death.
I would appreciate hearing from any one who has any additional information about Ignatius.
