I have been trying to find someone researching POLLARD's of GA. Sebern Newell COLLEY (13 Feb 1822-29 Dec 1898) md Mary POLLARD (2 May 1823-16 Feb 1899). They were married 29 Nov 1840. No license has been located. This information is from the family Bible. Mary's maiden name is from the family Bible of one of their children.

Sebern and Mary (POLLARD) COLLEY had the following children
John Thomas COLLEY - b 23 Nov 1841/d 18 May 1864 (Civil War)
Mary Ann Elizabeth COLLEY - b 31 Aug 1843 md Charles Smith POLLARD on 17 Dec 1863 who died 15 Jun 1864 (Civil War). They had one son Charles William Newell POLLARD b 31 Dec 1864. Mary A E (COLLEY) POLLARD md 2) Wm W WILLDER (WIELDER?).
Susan Francis COLLEY - b 19 Jan 1845 (my great grandmother) Family tradition states that Susan Francis COLLEY was 1/4-1/2 Native American (one side says Cherokee, another says Creek) Susan Francis COLLEY married Wm C. L. HENDON whose family had moved from Oglethorpe Co GA to Troup Co GA in mid 1830's.
William Franklin COLLEY - b 11 May 1846/d 6 Jul 1864 (Civil War)
Zachariahs COLLEY - b 7 Jun 1847
George COLLEY - b 29 Jan 1849
The family was living in Coweta Co GA in 1850 and in Meriwether Co GA in 1860. I can not find them after that time period Their son George Colley remained in Meriwether Co and it is his Bible record that gives Mary's maiden name and the dates of Sebern and Mary COLLEY's deaths.
Do you have any information along these lines or know of someone else researching GA POLLARDS?
Thank you, Jerry Wright Jordan Jjordan2@ix.netcom.com

Researching John TURNER, listed in the 1850 Coweta census. John was born sometime between 1800 and 1805. He married Elizabeth ? . .Savannah seems to be on one death record of his children. All 12 of his children are listed as born in GA. Then the family moved on to Texas. One child didn't show up in the next census in TX. Was there an epidemic in Coweta in the 1850-52 time period? I am looking for marriages, birth places, possible burials.
