Has anyone run across CASWELL DOZIER VINES who was born in COWETA in 1796 while it was still Indian Territory.I am trying to determine who is his father and mother. He was married to an unknown wife in 1820 in Coweta.I have seen references to many VINES in the Coweta area.I do not have any documentation , but feel that Caswell may be related to Benjamin Bush Vines thru one of his sons, Daniel b. 1750 in Anson NC,Isaiah b. 1755 Coweta or William b. 1760 Coweta. Any of these three could be his father as well as some of their sons. Some LDS records show a Casiock Vines b. 1800 and married same year 1820 to unknown wife and childrens names are the same as those of Caswell. Caswell moved to Coffee County, AL. where he had two boys, Chesley Daniel Vines b. 1825 and John William Vines b. 1830. Thanks for any information or suggest where I can look.
