My grandmother's name was Lilla Louise WHITTLE,BYROM, HOLCOMBE. She died in April 1957, three month's before I was born. I know very little about her. My grandfather's name was Dewey BYROM, no one has seen him, since my mother's funeral in 1960. I have tried to locate information regarding my mother's family, but to no avail. I'm faced with, I don't know, or I don't remember from members of my family. If anyone has any information on my grandmother or grandfather, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you, Kathryn

I have hit a road block. I am looking for information a John H. COX b. 9/29/1878 d. 12/29/1954 who married Phronia (Fronie) LEWIS b. 4/4/1878 d. 1/25/1947 Both are buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, GA. John's father name was John H. COX and his mother was Mollie WILSON. Phronia's father was Noah LEWIS and mother was Elizabeth COSLEY.

They had the following children:
Elizabeth COX b. 12/28/1898 d. 4/17/1943 married James F. WARREN Sr. on 12/23/1917
Both are buried in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Newnan, GA
Jennie Mae COX b. 1901? married ??? MOORE
John H. COX III b. 1902 married??? ( lived in St. Petersburg, FL when his father died in 1954.)
Milton H. COX Sr. b. 1904 married Maggie Jewel ROGERS
Vera COX b. 1907 married Bennie LONG ( Vera lived near Columbus, GA when her father died.)

John and Fronie (nickname) lived in and around the Grantville, GA area. Also near Newnan. Have found John's obituary but have not been able to find Fronie's. After Fronie died John remarried to a lady by the name of Norma BRUCE.

Would like to find out where John H. COX and Mollie (WILSON) COX are buried? Does anyone have any information on this family?

John SHAMBLIN Sr is rumored to have lived in Coweta Co, GA in early 1800''s later moved to central west AL
Francis McALISTER travelled from Abbeville SC to same part of AL
Would like any info on COWLEY's possible. Would like to know of any connections to Native American heritage

Their son, Wm Samuel PUCKETTE (he added the ending "e") b 1851 GA marr Malinda Lucy BARBER of Meriwether Co. Malinda's parents were Wm BARBER & Mary WALTON of Meriwether Co. Looking for information on my great grandfather Samuel HOUSTON born 1821. The last information I have on him he was living with his daughter Georgia and her husband John CHAPPELL in 1900 in Coweta county. His wife was named Frances she was the daughter of Oliver HOUSTON of Coweta county. Samuel's children were Georgia, Irvin, Elizabeth, William, Charles, Newton, Emma, Samuel, Dovie and James Robert HOUSTON. Any information will be appreciated.
