I am trying to locate copies of the diary kept by John J. PEARSON, of Newnan in 1879-1882. Would the local library have copies? I have copy from Ga. Archives from many years ago and it is practically illegible. Mr. Pearson writes of his family -- WORTHAM, Taliaferro.
Can anyone put me in touch with anyone who would know about this? At one time it was in the possession of Len CROWDER.
Thank you so much. Sylvia

Recently I have been trying to get information on my father's Family. I am a 43 year old African American who is in search of answers to my past. I currently live in Los Angeles, California. I moved here in 1966 with my mother who is now 86 years old. This is the information that she gave me about my father's family.
My grand father's name was Rufus McCRARY and he married Essie (unsure of spelling). I belive Rufus is buried in Senoia, Georgia. He had a least two sons, Wiliie James McCRARY and Ernest McCRARY and a daughter Clara McCRARY who had two daughters, one was named Penny.
Bernard, Ronnie, and Dwight, McCRARY are the sons of Earnest McCRARY and Mozelle.
I also believe that Willie James had a son named Nathaniel McCRARY.
I strongly believe that they are from the Coweta County area. If anyone can provide me with any information with regards to the African American Mc Crary's, I would greatly appreciate.
Sincerily, Chas S. Taylor-Mc Crary

I am seeking information on Viola (Ola) ARNOLD, who I believe was born in Coweta County @ 1860 (+/- 10 years). I am guessing at this, as her husband was born in 1859. She was supposed to have been married at Grantville on December 8 or 18, 1888 to Benjamin Brittain SIMMS. Her father's name (to the best of my knowledge) was John Wesley ARNOLD and her mother's maiden name was Anne Innocence WHITE; both from Grantville(?). I noticed that in your Coweta County Death listings from 1828 - 1880 there was an "Ann Arnold" listed for 1873, along with a "Mrs. Hugh M. Arnold" the same year. The only other surname that was familiar was Simms--Brellen, who died in 1864. Any assistance you can provide for my great-grandmother (Viola) will be appreciated. I have searched several databases and have been unable to locate any of the ARNOLD family of Grantville. Thank you!
