HEARD FAMILY

My original Heard was Charles/John Heard who was born in English Co. Tyrone Ire ca 1665. His son was Stephan Heard born Ire ca 1695, died 1774 in Pittsylvania VA and married Mary Falkner ca 1739/40 in Pittsylvania VA. Their son Thomas Heard, born 1742 in Goochland VA and died in Greene County GA, lived for some time in Heard County as it was his family that helped to first settle it as bounty land as a result of the Rev. war.
He married Elizabeth Napier Fitzpatrick a decendent fron the famous VA Woodson and Napier families. She, too, died in Greene County GA. Their son Thomas Heard, who I believe was born in VA. married Polly Whatley and Dorcas Morris. He died in GA, probably Cherokee County as his son Wyatt Thomas Heard was born there in 1799 and was married to Mary Reeves born 15-9-1801 in Wilkes County GA.
Their son Lawrence Pike Heard was born in Cass County GA 29-10-1835 and died in Reagan Wells TX 17-5-1897. He married Martha Emeline Thompson who was born 21-5-1836 in Hawkins County TN and died 1920 in Reagan Wells TX. Their son Henry Lawrence Heard was my ggrandfather.
