Seeking info on Tabitha (EVANS?) PORTER. M1 James PORTER, they appear on 1850 census for Antioch with sons, David, James, John and Elisha / Elijah. Tabitha PORTER m2 Davis McJUNKIN and they appear on 1860 & 1870 census. On 1880 census Davis McJUNKIN is still living but has a wife named Susan. Can find no record of where any of the above mentioned people are buried or if they left a will. Would appreciate any help or clue. Thank you.

Looking for Richard and Susie M. DAVIS offspring. Jack, b. about 1901 in Chambers Co. I believe he is my grandfather. They worked and lived near Lanett, Milltown and West Point back in the early 1900-1930. Would like any info I could get, marriage / death records, cemetery locations, etc. Richard had 2 brothers, Fletcher and John.

In the 1850 US Census for Troup Co., GA I found my husbands great grandparents Hugh MONTGOMERY and Nancy RICHARDSON. They have the following children.
1.Margaret Elizabeth MONTGOMERY born about 1832 in South Carolina
2. Sarah Ann MMONTGOMERY born about 1836 in Georgia
3. Charlotte Francis MONTGOMERY born about 1839 in GA
4. Caroline MMONTGOMERY born about 1842 in GA
5. Joseph Davis MONTGOMERY born about 1845 in GA
6. Mary Mildred MONTGOMERY born about 1848 in GA
7. John H MONTGOMERY born about September 1850 in GA
Both Hugh and Nancy were born in South Carolina. Hugh was born about 1811 and Nancy about 1807. They moved to Louisiana and show up in Claiborne Parish in the 1870 census with another daughter by the name of Sigourney born about 1853 in GA.
Any information regarding these people would be greatly appreciated.

Would like to know if anyone knows anything about L. J. HAY Funeral Home, was in business in LaGrange in the early 1920's. Where was it located? Is there any way to get records from there?

The 1850 Troup Co census shows two persons named Louis KING, both in their 60's, one white and one apparently a free Black, and both blacksmiths.
I think I am related to the white one, (and maybe both?). Who were they?

I am searching for ancestors of Thomas CAMRON / CAMERON. Immigrated from Scotland/Ireland came to Charlestown SC in 1766/1767. Came to Elbert Co. GA-purchased land. Son James lived in Clark Co., GA. Son John lived in Troup Co., GA.

Searching on any information on Isaac NORTON and family. Originating from SC, family resided in Troup county, GA abt 1832-1834 before finally moving to Alabama. Their time in Georgia however is a mystery.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Richard S. PITTS. He was born around 1862 in Georgia. He was married to Mollie BELCHER on November 4, 1883 in Rough Edge, Troup County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Obediah and Sarah BELCHER. Mollie was born around 1863. I need help trying to find out more about who Richard's parents were. Thanks for any help.

I was wondering if anyone was or is familiar with the old WHATLEY homestead or cemetery off of Rock Mills Rd near Glenn? I currently own the property and would like to have some history on the place. I have heard several stories of the old WHATLEY plantation and the old family cemetery, but if anyone has any knowledge of any of this it would be greatly appreciated!!
