lived in Cassandra, McLemore's Cove, Walker County, GA. Columbus B. HEADRICK
was my grandfather. I am very interested in finding information about him and

I am trying to trace the ancestry of my great-grandfather, William Byrd "Bob"
PARKER. Data I have, said to be from his Confederate Military Record is as
follows:
Born: Nov 6, 1841, Hawkins, GA
Died: May 13, 1924, Montgomery, AL
Enlisted: Dec 5, 1861, Columbus, GA
Paroled: May 11, 1865, Meridian, MS
Brothers: John (Jack); Frank; George
Served in "Young's Columbus Georgia Battery, Ross Texas Brigade (General
Ross) in the Army of Tennessee under Gen. Braxton Bragg and later under Gen. Joseph
E. Johnson"
His half-brother, Frank, was killed and buried at Atlanta, GA. All four
PARKER brothers fought at Atlanta. William Byrd "Bob"; John
"Jack", & Frank PARKER were in the same battery campaign around
Atlanta.
William Byrd "Bob" PARKER married Martha Elizabeth McDADE
on Mar 16, 1873 in Montgomery, AL.
Letter from Aunt Edith states "My parents (Bob & Martha)
lived at Coosda Station for 23 years.....Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd's own mother
was my great aunt...."

McDADE family genealogy datebase contains over 3,000 individuals. No
information is known about William Byrd PARKER's family. Any assistance
that could be provided would be greatly appreciated. Does the given name "Osce"
