John L. Anderson and wife Elizabeth (Jarrott) ANDERSON came to Quincy in Traill Co about 1876 from Huron Co, Ontario, Canada. His brother, William, also homesteaded there. I would like to know if another brother, George ANDERSON, also came to Traill.
Thank you.

Elizabeth COCHRANE married George ANDERSON, 1884, probably in Quincy, Traill Co. She was born about 1864, so would have been about 16 on the 1880 Census. I would like to learn the names of her parents.
Thank you.

I recently found an obituary for Anna OSTBY whose husband was Martin OSTBY. I have dozens of Martin OSTBYs in my genealogy file and not sure if this one fits in or not. Anna's obit said they had lived in Hatton, North Dakota but I could not find the family on the 1930 census. There were 9 children listed when she died in 1983: Clarence, Norma, Ordean, Willard, Bertha, Pearl, Myrtle, Norma and Irene. Martin apparently died in 1937 and I found that son Clarence (on Social Security list) died in 1997 in Hatton. Any help will be most appreciated

My grandfather, James McSparron COCHRAN, was born in 1875 in the north of Ireland, probably Londonderry. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1885 or 1886. His mother was Jane (McSPARRON) COCHRAN (b. 1844/45). Her husband, Wilson COCHRAN died in Ireland before the family emigrated to the U.S. from Ireland. Jane's four children were William Montgomery COCHRAN (born 10 Apr 1873), James McSparron COCHRAN (b. 8 Mar 1875), David COCHRAN, and Matilda Mary COCHRAN (b. 4 Apr 1877). I would like to know where they might have lived after they came to this country. My mother and her brothers and sisters were born in Traill County after 1911 (James M. COCHRAN Jr., Maude COCHRAN, Margaret COCHRAN, and Alice COCHRAN).

Marshall MILLER married Mary JOHNSON in 1888 in Traill County North Dakota. Looking for info on their parents. I believe Marshall was born in Canada and his father was James. Am clueless about my family! Am searching for history of Ruth Henrietta DAHL, b. 1925 in Mayville. Married Ingolf Emil ODEGARD, b. 9 Oct 1915 in Michigan ND, d. 12 Oct 1988. Had one daughter Marjorie Kay ODEGARD, b. 21 May 1944 at St. Michael's Church Grand Forks, d. 16 Feb 1986 in Virginia Beach, VA.
Ruth Henrietta DAHL-ODEGARD remarried Kenneth John SANDVIG, b. 2 Mar 1925, d. Mar 1987. They had two more daughters, Connie and Karen SANDVIG. Elmer LANGAGER was uncle to Marjorie (I believe). T K Spand was pastor who officiated Elmer LANGAGER's funeral as well as the memorial service for Marjorie (ODEGARD) WOOD. He also performed the marriage of Marjorie to Gary SMITH sometime in the late 60's. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated as this is the only information I have on my maternal family. Thank you!

Can someone please tell me where I can learn more about the George JOHNSON ("Dutch Ferdinand") party which came to Elm River / Quincy in 1874?
A friend recently sent me a fine photograph of the memorial plaque erected by the Traill County Historical Society. From information on the plaque it appears possible that my great-grandfather, John Logie ANDERSON, and his wife, Elizabeth JARROTT, might have come with this party from Huron County, Ontario.
Is there a list of families who came with the party?
Thank you for this help!
