Looking for any information on the family of E. A. (Ed / Eddy / Edward) BUTTERFIELD and Annie K. (ANDERSON) BUTTERFIELD. E. A. BUTTERFIELD born 1852 in Mass. Annie born 1856 Sweden. Annie died Oct. 19.1893 and E. A. died May 27,1929. Looking for any and all information on them or their children Ernest Dec.1880, Effie Feb. 1882, Charlie Oct.1884, Roy or Leroy, May 1886 and George, April 1888.

My grandpa's sister Magda (Magla) P. (Pedersdatter) TÖTLAND arrived Ellis Island April 7th in 1907, on the ship S/S Caronia. She was on the way to her aunt and uncle, Mrs Bertha and Sven S. Hauge, Buxton, Traill county, ND. Her mother was sister of Bertha. Magda was born in Hjelmeland, Norway in 1882. As far as we know she was married to an Irish, and got several children. My uncle told me he was named after William RUDOLPH, the first person to die in an automotbile accident in Traill County. If possible I would like more information about this. Thank you

My grandfather, Alfred BERTELSEN, was born in Traill to Aline Gertrude IVERSEN in 1897. He was adopted by Jacob O. HOVDESTAD and came to Canada. The baptism certificate I have lists Gabriel SELE as his father.

I am looking for any information on either Alfred HOVDESTAD / BERTELSEN, Aline Gertrude IVERSEN, Gabriel SELE, or Alfred's baptism sponsors - John I. LANGAGER, Nellie LANGAGER, Lars LANGAGER, Martha VIG. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

In the 1885 census Sam CARSON was living next to James HAMILTON. Sam returned to Illinois. Does anyone know anything about James HAMILTON?

In census 1920 Stavanger twp., Traill - Osmund RIVELAND, age 35, farmer, with wife Rachel (Olida Oveson SKAARANE) b. 26.sept. 1893 in Traill - are listed. They have a daughter Alpha?, age 7. Probably married in 1911. It is said Osmund came from Stavanger (Aardal?) in 1900, age 16 ?

Rachel daugh. of Torger Oveson SKAARANE, b. 1862 from Fundingsland, Hjelmeland and wife Ane Jacobine Elisabeth PUNDSNES, b. 1865 at the Foss farm in Hjelmeland.

Anyone that has information for this family? Who was Osmund?

Who were the parents of Oscar KNUDSVIG, b. ca. 1885 in/near Ossian, Winneshiek Co., IA., married Laura HAGALIE in 1909 in Traill Co., daughter of Sivert and Lene HAGELIE. Went to Montana, returned to Buxton in 1914. Children Merlin KNUTSVIG and Lillian KNUTSVIG.
