I am trying to get any historical background on Silas CAMPBELL, who was born in Greene around 1835. Silas ended up in Illinois from where I know the story but have just learned he was born in Chenango County, NY. I'd also like to get information on his parents, John and Clarinda CAMPBELL. Clarinda's middle name was MAVIN.

Dr. John Follett BAKER was postmaster in Otselic in 1841 and had a medical practice in Otselic in around 1840. He married an Ann Maria (surname unknown) after 1840, I presume in Otselic or nearby. They had three daughters Cynthia A. (1843), Jennie Louise (1845) and Sara G. (1847) I presume born in Otselic. The family moved to Batavia, Genesee Co. in 1848.
I need help with the surname of Ann Maria, the marriage date and place.

Searching for information on a Samuel S.C. MULLIKIN and wife Eliza O. who had two children in Chenango Co., Frances A. born 22 Nov 1847 in Guilford twp, and George A born about 1849 in Chenango Co.
The 1855 Bath Steuben Co., census has Eliza and two of her three children being born in Chenango Co., Samuel was born in Rhode Island.
The surname has been spelled MULLIKEN, MULLIKIN, MULIGAN, MULLIGAN, MILLIKEN, etc.

I am looking for information on Thomas TOOHEY. I have found my TOOHEY ancestors on the 1880 NY Federal census living in the town of Norwich, in the county of Chenango (Patrick, Bridgit, William Joseph, Richard, Thomas, Anna, Patrick and Mary TOOHEY) They came to the US in 1874. I later found them in Montana in the 1900 census, Thomas was not listed in Montana. I believe he died in New York sometime between 1880 and 1898 (as per info on the 1900 census). He was 12 years old in 1880. The TOOHEY family lived in New York for about 24 years before moving to Butte City, Montana. I am trying to find any info on them for my Grandfather, William B. TOOHEY.
Any help would be VERY appreciated by myself and my grandfather!!

I am trying to locate information on my great grandfather, William GAGE. He was married to Alzina L. SILVEY, my great grandmother, they did divorce. They had 5 children, Albert, Arthur, Leon, Jay and Carrie. Carrie was my grandmother and was born in Gilbertsville, NY in 1914 and died in 1966. I know nothing about Will GAGE and would information on him. I understand he is buried in South New Berlin, but the grave is not marked.

Please, I am helping a friend ins searching for any info on living relatives. His Paternal Grandmothers name was Hattie M. BEILBY / BIELBY. Her son was Clarence Wesley GERMAN. He is the bio-Father to my friend Mark Allen TRIPP.
I have info that a Hattie M. BEILBY passed away in Nov 1985. Her last known adress was 13733 Bainbridge, Chenango,NY. Her social security # is 116-16-4463. She was born 22 Feb 1900. This would make this woman the appropriate age to be Mark's grandmother. Her son Clarence was born in 1927. We are trying to locate any info on living relatives. We have reason to believe Hattie had at least one grand-daughter with whom she resided towards the end of her life. Any help you can give is most greatly appreciated. Imagine what it would be like to never know your sibling(s).

Would like to learn the names of the parents and siblings of my great-grandfather, Milo WILCOX. What I know is that he was born in Chenango County, NY in 1815, married Adeline BUCK in NY in 1838, settling in Chenango County. Moved to Grundy County, Illinois in 1842; were parents of four boys - Jefferson and George born in New York; Alfred and Myron born in Illinois. Milo WILCOX died February 26, 1853. Son George N. WILCOX was born on a farm in Chenango County, February 14, 1841.

Searching for my gggrandmother, Rhoda ROUSE born in USA 1793. Was in Ontaro by 1811 as she married Samuel PELTON and their first child, Benson, was born in June 1811. Sam died in 1829 and she then married Jacob HESS.
In the area around this time were: George ROUSE, Joshua ROUSE (whose wife's name was Huldah), James ROUSE and Noah ROUSE. But I haven't been able to make a connection.
The ROUSE family may have been United Empire Loyalists.

Other associated names: EDWARDS family of Walnut Hall Farm, Wingate. JOHNSON Family. Perhaps through Sarah Anne ROBERTSON who married John Hubell EDWARDS. She died 12/11/1891 in Harris County TX. Also, Sophia Penelope (MONROE) EDWARDS (14 Oct 1835 - 28 Nov 1920), who married Rueben HUNTLEY (1835-1924) b Sherburne, NY died Galesburg IL.

Seeking information on Deacon Edward SOUTHWORTH & family. Deacon SOUTHWORTH died in North Pitcher, Chenango County, NY 19 Mar 1830. Does anyone know of an epidemic that swept through Chenango county in 1880. Two young children of the Justin D. MORSE family died in the fall of that year and I am guessing that their deaths may have been caused by an epidemic. One died in August and one died in September. They were living in New Berlin.
