Friends of the groom from Syracuse were present as well as a large number of invited guests from this vicinity. The bride received many elegant presents and the affair passed off very pleasantly. Orange Blossoms.
Willett, N.Y., Jan. 20th, 1882

A most enjoyable affair took place at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. BOURNE on Wednesday, Jan. 15th. Miss Ada BOWEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George BOWEN of Willett, N.Y. and sister of Mrs. BOURNE, was united in marriage to Mr. Frank L. HOWARD of Madison Co., N.Y., by the Rev. E. A. BALDWIN.
The bride was a member of one of the most respected families of this community, and the groom is not less fortunate in his family relations. The occasion was one of delight, clouded with just enough sadness on the part of the parents, that another held the chief affection of their most estimable daughter, to make the affair one of real life.
Many friends gathered to witness the union of the happy couple. Prominent among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. J. B. HOWARD, Madison County, W. N. BOWEN and wife of Guison, Cal., editor Solano Republican, L. L.BOWEN, San Francisco, Cal., F. B. BOWEN and wife, Rochester, N.Y., and Henry BOWEN, teacher of Chemistry, Columbia College, New York. Many beautiful presents were given amounting in value to over $500. Among them we noticed $100 in gold coin from Mr. J. B. HOWARD, father of the groom. After partaking of a luxurious repast the newly married pair bade farewell to their friends and started for Chicago, where they will remain about two months; from thence to Rochester, N.Y., remaining for a few weeks then settle down to the realities of married life. May it be long, happy and useful.

One of our handsomest young men, Mr. George SHORT has lately committed matrimony. Miss Carrie TARBOX is the happy recipient of all this Shortness. Mr. SHORT has been feeling quite indisposed during the early part of the honeymoon, and by the advice of solicitous friends, called upon one of our physicians. The M. D. felt of his raging pulse, and told him that his symptoms indicated that he had lately been married. Mr. SHORT replied that it was so, the Dr. prescribed for him accordingly, and we are now all in hopes that he will survive.
