A Golden Wedding.

    Mr. and Mrs. B.F. BLODGETT, of this place, celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage at the old homestead, on Wednesday, the first day of November.
    They were married Nov. 1, 1821, by the Rev. John KEEP, then the pastor of the church, in Homer, upper village. During these fifty years, this highly-favored pair have lived and wrought upon the same farm, beautifully located as it is, at the junction of the east and west branches of the Tioughnioga.
    On this occasion there were present, of their children and grandchildren, the following, viz: - Alonzo D. BLODGETT, wife and two sons; Jane A., wife of Dr. T.C. POMEROY, and two sons; and Rev. O.H. SEYMOUR, husband of Mary Louisa, deceased, and one son. Their only remaining son, J.R. BLODGETT, wife and son, of Minneapolis, were not present. [more details follow]
    Born and reared - the one in Weston, and the other in Lenox, Mass.- they were early and thoroughly established in the Puritanic faith and practice of those times, in the land of steady habits. About the opening of the present century, while in their childhood, with their parents they located in the deep recesses of the unbroken forests of the town of Homer, then embracing the southern portion of the county of Onondaga.
