The wedding service was performed at the Dexter House (Mrs. Dexter is the bride's sister) and was largely attended by our prominent citizens. The neat, handsome parlors of the Dexter House were well filled. The bride was beautifully attired in rich pearl colored silk, and a finer looking couple than herself and the groom would be difficult to find. The bridesmaid, Miss Katie MEHAN, wore a dress of white muslin most tastefully decorated. Mr. J.M. SAMSON acted as groomsman. After the nuptial benediction was pronounced, and the merry salutations usual on such occasions exchanged, the guests sat down to a collation, where the excellence vied with the profusion of the viands. In this department mine host and hostess are not to be excelled; and the latter presided over the distribution of the good things with characteristic dexterity. Every thing passed off most pleasantly until the time came for the young married couple to leave "by the train" for their distant home; and they left carrying with them the earnest wishes of all that the future of their married life many be as auspicious as its opening.

Another typo has at last become sensible of the fact that it "is not good for man to live alone." During the two years past that the bridegroom has been an employee in this office we can truthfully say that we have ever found him faithful, willing and capable of performing that which was set down for him to do. And now that he has concluded to settle down in life, his sphere of usefullness will be extended. May this union be fruitful of results, and may prosperity attend them for all time to come.
