CLARKE - MOTT - BURDICK - GREENSLIT - HITCHCOCK - READ - MINER

Robert E. Clark Tue Jul 25 12:25:23 2006
I have a photo of Wait CLARK, Bersheba D. (MOTT), Beckwith CLARKE, Amos BURDICK Jr., Mary (GREENSLIT) CLARKE, Urania Priscilla (MINER) CLARKE, Rev. William CLARKE, Harriet (Hitchcock) CLARKE, James CLARKE, (Whom I believe he may be my 2nd ggfather), Anstis (CLARKE) BURDICK,(wife of) Amos BURDICK Jr., Mercy (CLARKE) BURDICK, widow of Alfred BURDICK, Silas CLARKE, Lemuel READ and Sarah (CLARKE) READ.

I know most of these people are from, Madison County, New York. What I'm trying to find out is how these people tie into my CLARK(E) family. This picture was given to me several years ago with many pictures of my family members. My family started out in Saybrook, Middlesex, Connecticut, back in the 1600's and in the early 1800's some moved to Lewis County, New York, Rochester, Monroe County, New York; Torrey, Yates County, New York and Ontario, Canada. I'm not even sure that the James CLARKE in the picture is my 2nd ggfather, but his name is the only one I know in that picture. I do have an earlier picture of James so I'm not sure. There isn't a date on the picture so I'm guessing it's from the late 1800's Any help would be apporeciated.

Carolyn Bayer Thu Jul 27 11:20:44 2006
Does anyone have any information concerning the LAWRENCEs of Madison County? Erastus (1809-1864) and his wife Susan WILLIAMS are buried in Lenox Rural Cemetery. Who are their parents?

Benjamin LAWRENCE, son of William, lived in Clockville. Does anyone have any information on him? I have been looking for my GGrandfather's (Ambrose LAWRENCE) roots for years. Benjamin b. 1780/81 and Lois ELLIOT are his parents but I can't find Benjamin's ancestors. Their son Abram was born in Madison County in 1819 according to the "History of Saratoga County". Ambrose was b.1824 and they also had an Erastus and a Jane. There is a Benjamin LAWRENCE on Madison County 1820 census. The LAWRENCEs left Montgomery County for Saratoga County in 1844.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Carolyn Bayer mabayer@usadatanet.net
