John M. STINER and his wife, Mary M. came from Wurttemberg Germany about 1847 and settled in Clayton township. I am looking for info on their 9 children. My G-grandmother was their 6th child. and her children were Delbert and Anne Lusalle STEINER. Note name change I don't know why. thanks.

I am looking for information regarding a Solomon SWINGLE born about 1853 in Gainsborough Township Ontario Canada. His wife was Harriet Sundy and they moved to Prairie du Chien sometime before 1900. I believe that two of Solomon's brothers Daniel (born about 1847) and William (born about 1854) might have also moved to Wisconsin.

I would like to find out how many children were born to Fred SCHOVILLE some where in the 1920`s through the 1940`s? I`m not sure exactly on the dates. I`ve heard anywhere between 20 and 26 children and I think they lived around Soldiers Grove. My parents had mentioned some radio or television station came and interviewed them. I think Fred was born around 1900. It`s possilble that Fred`s last name was spelled SCOVILLE.

Seeking Matthias M. JENNINGS who lived in Prairie du Chien in the year 1850. He was born 1822 in Canada, and was a fur trader and lumberman. He lived there with his son, Lawrence, and both of them went on to settle in Clayton County Iowa.
