I have several books on the GILLINGHAM,TRUESDALE, and HART Families and am interested in corresponding with anyone with links to these names in Richland County who can provide updates on the various families, as the most recent information in those books came from the 1970's. Also willing to do lookups on these surnames. My grandfather was Rev. John Hart Truesdale and my grandmother was Nel A. Gillingham.

Wenzel Lodes and wife Anna Steiner Lodes lived Richland co from 1876-78. Believe brother of Anna Steiner lived in same area. His son born wisconsin 1871 moved to Palo Alto Co, Iowa 1889. Iowa Census of 1915 show that Albert Steiner's father was born Germany & mother was born in Wisc. Any information on Steiner family will be appreciated.

I am looking for information regarding my great grandfather Adelbert Haseltine. Born in 1828 in either Ohio or east of that state, he moved to either Portage or Baraboo between 1850 and 1860. His wife's name was Anna. Other Haseltine's also moved to that area in that same time period. Ira founded Richland Center, and two others moved to Baraboo. Adelbert, his son Elmer, his son William (my Dad) are buried in the family plot in Portage. Elmer married a young lady named Anna also. I lose track of the family from which Adelbert is descended, and would like to trace those roots. I have found the name also spelled as Hazeltine and Hazelton.

Looking for Delbert (Adelbert) Haseltine, born 1828 (Ohio?) moved to Portage in late 1840's and was married to Anna ? in Portage in 1850. I have lineage after this period and am trying to find the links back from him to ancestors in the east. They had sons Rollo, George and Elmer of which Elmer is my grandfather. They are buried in the Haseltine plot in Portage.

Seeking descendants and/or fellow reseachers of the THOMAS family. Have traced one Margaret THOMAS, b. 1849, IN, who married John MARTIN, 30 Jan 1868, in Knox Co., IL. Her last known location to this researcher comes from the 1927 obituary for one of her brothers in which she is referred to as Mrs. Margaret MOON of Richland Center, WI. Michael Hernan, Richland County, died 1894-6,sister Sabina, enlisted Nov 30 1863 co B 6th US infantry. owned farm. I am unable to highlight but only 1 category. Please query deed,obits,marriage,and census.
