My grandmother, Maggie Dean BUCKTA (Maiden name GRAY) died in Richland Center April 11, 1983. She lived for many years in Richland Co. She was married to ANDREW BUCKTA, who had died in 1930. Maggie's parents were FRANK GRAY (b. 6/28/1868) and FANNIE ANNIS (b. 9/4/1871), who married 9/4/1890. Frank's parents were ENOCH GRAY (b. 6/2/1835 in Waldo Co, Maine)& RUTH SPAULING also of Waldo Co. Fannie's dad was ALFONZO ANNIS. I do not know many of Maggie's predecessors lived in Richland Co. She had 11 brothers & sisters: Earl, Stella, Francis, Martin, Ida, Buford, Frankie, Wallie, Clyde, Helen & Irvin.

I am looking to find some proof of my ancestor's presence in Richland Co. after 1860. Thomas Milburn, b. VA; married Minerva Mansfield in 1824 in Wayne Co., OH; was in DeKalb Co., IN in 1850 and 1860. Wayne Co., OH book says that he died in Richland Co., WI. His children were Theophilus, Josiah, Mary, Almira, Amos, Thomas, Electa, Sarah, William and Abia.

Seek information on PHILLIP KIZER and wife RHODA who I believe came to Richland Co. WI from Clinton Co., OH in the late 1840s or early 1850s. I have not been able to locate them on any 1850 census. In 1854, RHODA sells their land in Clinton Co.,OH as PHILLIP is deceased. The transaction states that RHODA is a resident of Wisconsin but does not state where in WI. The General Land Office Records of WI show PHILIP A. KIZER signed for a 40 acre land patent 1855/11/10 in Richland Co. This may have been PHILIP KIZER Jr.The maiden name of RHODA was HENDRICKSON. Any info would be appreciated.
