I am looking for a Norwegian Lutheran Church within Richland County whose records date back to the 1850's. Just possibly this family (or some members) were living in the county from 1854
when they immigrated from Hafslo, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway:
Ole NIELSON born 1818
Brithe Augundsdtr born 1825, wife
Andreas, born 1848, son
Niels, born 1851, son
Ole, born 1854, son
The father may have died in the earlier years after their arrival because no other children were born to Brithe. Eventually the family acquired the surname of OLSON as early as 1861, possibly even earlier. There is an Andrew Oleson, age 12, living with John & Ellen Turguson family in Akan Twp in the 1860 census.
Any assistance would be most welcome.
