THOMAS, Arnold and wife, (Thomas), Andra, drowned Nov. 9, 1818 aged about 40 years. Had been attending a revival meeting across the Otselic river below the village when the raft on which they were crossing, parted and they were thrown into the river and drowned. They left 9 children. A friend, a member of the Burlingame family, erected the substantial stone marking their grave.
