I am trying to pinpoint the location of "Sandtown" which, according to my late father-in-law was where he lived "on the road between West Point and LaGrange". It is not on maps. I know where other HOGGs lived near Hogg Mountain and assume this is(was) a c
ommunity somewhere in that vicinity. I have a county map if someone could help me specifically locate this area. Thanks.

Seeking parents, grandparents, siblings, etc., of my g- grandmother, Jane HOLLIDAY, who married my g-grandfather Thomas Hall SIMONTON, in Troup Co., GA in 1839. They raised their family across the state line in Chambers Co., AL from 1839 to about 1870. Al
so seeking ancestors and descendants of Lutisha HOLLIDAY, who is first found in Jones Co., GA in 1835 in will of John Holliday. From reading the will, it sounds like Lutisha may have been a daughter-in-law. A person by this name next appears in Chambers C
o., AL in 1840 census. Are these two HOLLIDAY women related? Jane HOLLIDAY and Thomas Hall SIMONTON had 7 or 8 children, one of which was my grandfather Augustus Hamilton SIMONTON. He had 3 sisters, one married a MCFARLAND, one a WHATLEY, and one a TOMLIN
SON. Any information on these families would be appreciated, and I will be happy to exchange information. Thanks! Faye Simonton Bryan
